Mack 1644 pinstriping brush-Developed by Mack Brush in collaboration with legendary pinstriper and gilder Rick Glawson — known in the trade as “Daddy Finegold” — the Series 1644 is built for one purpose: pulling exceptionally long, thin, continuous lines without breaking stride. Rick designed this brush originally for reverse glass gilding, where he needed a tool that could back up gilded gold leaf on glass with total control over long unbroken strokes. That same design now makes it a favorite among pinstripers and sign painters working in urethane or lettering enamel.

What sets the 1644 apart is its longer belly than a standard pinstriping brush — the extended hair reservoir holds significantly more paint, letting you lay down long, flowing lines in a single pass instead of stopping to reload. Crafted from pure Blue Squirrel hair with a hair length of 2 1/4″ and an overall brush length of 5 1/2″, it delivers the soft, controlled release that fine-line work demands, whether you’re striping a full-length body panel, a motorcycle tank, or fine gilding detail.
