Description

Kelly-Mack Pinstriping Brush (Series K/M)

Mack sword striper #1 #2-The Kelly-Mack is more than a brush — it’s a direct link to pinstriping history. Named for Tom Kelly, a third-generation striper whose family lineage traces back to O.Z. Crozier, known in the trade as “The Baron” of Baron Roth & Kelly, this sword striper carries nearly a century of hands-on heritage. The Baron striped wagons and buggies for the Studebaker Brothers in the early 1900s, then spent over 25 years striping at the Ford Motor Co. through the 1920s, ’30s, and into the ’40s. When custom striping returned to cars in the early 1950s, Tom Kelly picked up where his grandfather left off, striping every single day for over five decades on nothing but a #1 and #2 Mack Sword Striper.

That’s exactly what the Kelly-Mack recreates: the same sword-style brush the Baron and Kelly relied on for a lifetime of work. Available in size 1 and size 2, individually or as a matched set, it’s built for stripers who want the confidence of a larger brush without sacrificing control. As Tom Kelly puts it — don’t be afraid to size up. A larger brush can do everything a smaller one can, and it’ll go a lot further on a single load of paint.

Tom Kelly’s contribution to the craft is recognized with Award #87 in the Pinstripers Hall of Fame, and the Kelly-Mack remains a go-to choice for old-school pinstripers and sign painters who want a proven, historically-rooted tool in their kit.
